March 14, 2011 – Song 130

Last year I posted this song to promote a party that I helped put together for the Hideout that took place on the anniversary of September 11.

At the time I couldn’t find a link anywhere except on some weird Russian website.

I said something that day along the lines of having a dance party instead of a night watching reruns of something that will never be forgotten by anyone in this country whether they have a fucking bumper sticker about it or not. Will you ever forget where you were? I know I won’t.

One of my best friends moved to Manhattan from Olympia Washington less than a month before and I couldn’t get a hold of her or her sister for most of the day. It was awful. That day was awful.

There are a lot of things that are awful. But in my opinion there are always way more things to be happy about. Like dance parties. It will all be over soon enough no matter how you choose to spend it.

Someone uploaded this video to YouTube on September 12th, 2010.

In the words of Pee Wee Herman “It’s like you’re unraveling a big cable-knit sweater that someone keeps knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting.”

Just Beware the Ides of March. Song 130.
